What is Gestational Diabetes?

Around 9 percent of all pregnant women will develop gestational diabetes during pregnancy, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. While complications can arise, as long as the condition is properly treated and controlled, most women with gestational diabetes will go on to deliver perfectly healthy babies.
